Master of Science Overview
The Department of Statistical Science offers a graduate program leading to the Master of Science (MS) degree to all students enrolled in PhD programs at Duke University. This provides the opportunity for these students to obtain the MS in Statistical Science along with the PhD in their own disciplines. Details are available under the following links.
In recent years to 2008, Statistical Science MS students have come from Ph.D. programs as diverse as Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Environmental Studies, Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, Neurobiology, Physics, Political Science and Sociology, representing the advanced level of statistical science and research across many disciplines at Duke - the primary raison d'être for the concurrent MS program.
